Growing up in a family of accomplished athletes, Derick learned early the importance of discipline, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. Both of his sisters played softball at Florida State University, while he excelled as a multi-sport athlete in baseball and football. He served as a high school team captain and was drafted by the New York Yankeesdirectly out of high school — a testament to his talent and determination. Instead of turning professional immediately, Derick chose to pursue collegiate baseball, serving three years as team captain and catcher while earning a degree in Business Management. After college, he worked alongside his father, a seasoned CEO, gaining experience in leadership, business strategy, and the importance of integrity and vision. Inspired by his sisters’ success in the U.S. market and fueled by his passion for helping others, Derick found his true calling in real estate. Relocating to Esterillos, he discovered not only a place to live, but a place to build his future.
